New Rutgers basketball coach doesn't have degree (Yahoo! Sports)

FILE - In this April 23, 2013, file photo, Rutgers head coach Eddie Jordan gestures while speaking during an NCAA college basketball news conference in New Brunswick, N.J. The university's official bio of Jordan says he graduated from the university in 1977. But the university registrar's office says the former NBA player and coach never received a degree from Rutgers, though he earned 103 credit hours from 1973 to 1985. The degree discrepancy was first reported Friday, May 10, 2013, by the sports website Deadspin. (AP Photo/Mel Evans, File)

New Rutgers basketball coach Eddie Jordan is not a graduate of the university as the school had claimed, another embarrassment for an athletic program still smarting from the firing of previous coach Mike Rice.
