FILE - In a file photo provided by the University of Alabama, Mal Moore poses for a photo in Tuscaloosa, Ala., when he played football for Alabama, in the late 1950s or early 1960s. Moore, who played and coached under Bear Bryant, became athletic director, hired Nick Saban and presided over a heyday in athletics at his alma mater, has passed away. The university said the 73-year-old Moore died on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Duke University Medical Center. Moore had been in the Durham, N.C., hospital since March 13 with pulmonary problems.
