Flood to coach Rutgers, Cristobal passes (AP)

Longtime Rutgers assistant Kyle Flood is getting his first shot at running a program, replacing his former boss with the Scarlet Knights. Rutgers has promoted Flood to head coach. The 41-year-old had been a member of Greg Schiano's staff since 2005, coaching offensive linemen and working his way up to assistant head coach.

The University of Iowa is refusing to release records showing how its administration responded to a woman's sexual assault claim against running back Marcus Coker. Meyer adds Sheridan to Buckeyes' staff (AP)

Ohio State has announced that Bill Sheridan will join new coach Urban Meyer's coaching staff as a defensive assistant. Sheridan, a Detroit native who attended Grand Valley State University, has coached for 31 years including seven seasons in the NFL. Clemson suspends F Jennings indefinitely (AP)

Clemson forward Milton Jennings has been suspended by coach Brad Brownell for academic reasons. Brownell announced the indefinite suspension Monday night. Jennings did not travel with the Tigers, who play at No. 16 Virginia on Tuesday night. Brownell said he suspended Jennings for failure to comply with the team's academic standards.

Iona's Cluess inks extension through '17 (AP)

Looks as if Indiana's offense is just fine. Freshman Cody Zeller scored a season-high 26 points to help the No. 16 Hoosiers defeat Iowa 103-89 on Sunday night. Indiana was held to a season-low 50 points in a loss at Wisconsin on Thursday night, but had that many by halftime against Iowa. The Hoosiers finished with 20 assists after having four against Wisconsin.

Kansas women can't pull off upset of No. 1 Baylor (AP)

The last time Kansas was in the Lone Star State, the Jayhawks knocked off Texas. On this trip, about 90 miles north of Austin, it only took 5 minutes for Kansas to fall behind by double digits to No. 1 Baylor. The Jayhawks ended up losing 74-46 on Saturday night. Baylor's Brittney Griner scored 28 points and had five blocks to move into second place on the NCAA career list.
