Illinois senior running back Jason Ford has been arrested on suspicion of driving on a suspended license. University of Illinois Police Lt. Roy Acree said Tuesday that Ford was arrested Sunday morning. That's when police discovered a warrant in nearby McLean County for failure to appear in court to answer the July 2010 charge.

Former Missouri running back and co-captain Derrick Washington, who was kicked off the team after being charged with sexual assault and domestic violence, says he hopes to again play football this fall.
