Nike honors Paterno with $400K donation (AP)

Nike, Inc., is giving $400,000 to Penn State's libraries in honor of Hall of Fame coach Joe Paterno's milestone 400th win. Paterno and his wife, Sue, have been staunch supporters of the libraries, and one of the school's main libraries is named after the family. Libraries dean Barbara Dewey said Monday the donation will in part help pay for renovations and technological upgrades.

Unbeaten Ohio St. unanimous No. 1 (AP)

Ohio State, the lone remaining unbeaten team, is a unanimous No. 1 in the men's college basketball poll by The Associated Press. Arkansas WR Ray arrested on drug charge (AP)

Arkansas wide receiver Lance Ray has been arrested and charged with marijuana possession. The 19-year-old Ray was arrested late Saturday night by university police after the smell of marijuana was detected coming from his dorm room. According to a preliminary police report, Ray had a brown rolled cigarette containing a green leafy substance that tested positive for marijuana.

College Football Hall of Famer and former Auburn star Ed Dyas has died after a long battle with cancer. Auburn officials said the 71-year-old Dyas died Sunday.
